"I've been lurking for a few days and have come across several discouraging situations similar to what happened to Integral.

We have just released a new feature which we will be offering to Community members who have a good record of reporting comments that are in violation of our guidelines and Terms of Service.

The “User Moderator” classification will allow selected members to immediately remove comments when they click the “report abuse” link. The comments will still be reviewed by our moderation team and if approved by them will be back in public view.

We will be offering this capability to members who have been active in the last 30 days, reported at least 50 comments and have a 90% or better record of reporting comments which are removed after review. If you are not offered this capability in the next few days and believe you should be based on your record, please send me a message.

We hope that this will, over time create a more respectful community for everyone to participate in.
